Only moments before leaving work today, I noticed that the store had received "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4" pre-order art books. I casually picked it up and started to glance over the pages. Less than two minutes later, I had pre-ordered the game! I'm almost ashamed to admit it. I have never played a Persona game in my life and I have grown increasingly annoyed by Japanese RPG's as of late but character art and unique social life management of the series really intrigued me. I'll be honest, I don't know much about this series but seeing pictures like:
pretty much ensured that I had to buy it. I have never really found myself falling to pieces over Anime art but the art in this game is stunning. I have done a bit of research now and I think that this might be a good RPG for me to try in an attempt to rekindle my fading love for the genre. I'm a little nervous about how this will turn out but I fully intend on picking up the game on Friday (releases on Tuesday). For now, here is the final US trailer for the game:
Wish me luck...

Jeez Nick, you definitely pulled a David. Don't tell me your going to be all over Idolm@ster now. o.o
After watching that trailer all I can say is. . . good luck Nick.
I loved Persona 3, though my shameful secret is I never beat it. =( I've had Persona 4 pre-ordered for as long as I can remember.
Hey Nick, being the person who likes fucked up shit and all that, you should check out Persona 3 too.
For a while I was getting tired of JRPGs too because of how shitty most of the characters and settings were (like Wild Arms 4...Jesus I hated the main character) but playing P3 made me love the genre all over again. It was such a breath of fresh air.
and if Persona 4 is as any good as the third one, well you're going to love JRPGs again too
Also red hair singer chick in the video

Wow...instead of putting a gun to your head, the guy pushes his glasses up. Yea, that doesn't look to cool. Well I'll be looking forward to you playing it...because I won't be. ^_^ Persona 3 was a fun game for me, but this new one looks worse. Hmm...emo vs nerdy guy trying to be cool...who will win?
I've never played a Persona game, yet I'll be picking up this game too.
