Necrodancer said...: I felt the same way through most of the game, but the ending is phenomenal. You know, after they finished off their new plot and remembered it was supposed to be a prequel.

The thing I hate most about all this milking of the FF7 brand is that it actually ruins people's opinion of the original game through getting tired and frustrated with the emo bullshit they keep making these characters pull off. I went back and played through a few hours of the original and it's still a legitimately fucking awesome game, but nowadays people are all like "FF7 wasn't so great, the characters are annoying and the story is shitty and melodramatic". That's only because of the way it's been abused since the original release.

Squeenix said that this is the last they'll do to the game.
Since they now have a Beginning(Crisis Core), Middle(Original FF7) and End(Advent Children/Dirge of Cerberus).
