I loved the first 2 Fatal Frame games because they created unparalleled atmosphere and scared me out of my mind. The third game however has become incredibly frustrating for me to the point that I don't know if I will ever get the patience to finish the game. I feel like the series may have been better with only 2 entries because each game keeps the same exact formula and it is beginning to get old. I would love for someone to reinvent the franchise but really have no idea how they could possibly go about it. Anyways, I will definitely still pick up Fatal Frame 4 for the Wii because of my history with the series and my fond memories but I am very skeptical at this point. Here is a new video that hit the net recently that showcases some of the gameplay and explains how Wii functionality will compliment the game.

Not to make you upset or anything, but I 've heard the controls are horrible. But, we'll see.
I would love to play this, but sadly no wii. So you guys are my only hope to see the full game hehe.
I was never really into Fatal Frame. This one just seems frustrating. Hopefully they tone down the sensitivity so you're not flailing the camera when the nun-chuck is being thrown around when you freak the hell out from a scare.
much as id love to play a ff game on the wii this one is incredibly broken. controls that dont work, faulty discs, games that freeze a a certain point and even multiple discs wont remedy it. in short its nigh unplayable. wich sucks of course, but nintendo hasnt said they will do anything to fix it.
Does FF4 support the GameCube/Classic controller? Because if it does then mayb e you won't have to worry about playing with the Wiimote controls.
I'll probably pick this up. Im once again, undecided
its wiimote only
I imported the game from Play-Asia and began playing it on my friend's modded Wii, and yes, we did get frozen at one point. I eventually spent twelve dollars and ordered Wii Freeloader through amazon.com, and with Wii Freeloader and my American Wii, I never had a single glitch.
The controls honestly aren't that horrible, and this comes from a person who really dislikes the wiimote. The game itself actually made me happy to be a Wii owner again, after being let down by a lack of good titles.
I've since beaten it and would honestly give it a high grade. There are still some of those annoying fifteen seconds to open a door business, but that's just Fatal Frame. It makes a nice transition onto the Wii, I think hardcore fans and people new to the series will like it.
