This new video straight from the show floor at Pax demonstrates variety in Mirror's Edge. By variety, I mean that players will be free to find new paths to follow and new creative ways to navigate the environment. If you listened to our last Top 5 podcast then you know that this game is my number one most anticipated game of Fall 2008. The game still looks amazing but I definitely see a few potential flaws in the game. First of all, I would like to point some minor animation glitches and areas that just flat out dont seem to run smoothly. For instance, the sliding mechanic looks a bit strange if not performed perfectly and there was an instance where a group of pidgeons performed a very awkward animation.
I cant wait to see more.

wow
now I am officially excited for mirror's edge. I was afraid that following the red objects was going to be the only way through. Well, I was thankfully wrong.
I. Can't. Wait. This is one of the top games I am REALLY looking forward too.
Yeah, I think when they mention "finding new paths" it's the same sort of new finding as in Assassin's Creed. Mirror's Edge isn't looking as open as that game, but I do like the linear story approach with the different ways to traverse.
I've already got a preorder down on Mirror's Edge. This fall is going to kick ass. Thanks for the clip, Nick!
