Brad's Laundry List - What should I play now?

I'm at weird place now. I really don't know what I want to be playing. The Revival Club Podcast has also given me reasons to play through some older games and finish those up. I've also been completely replaying through Devil May Cry 3; and I do love that game. But the thing I love about playing games every night on the feed is that I get finish games I would probably have never started in the first place.

I want to play some more recent, but nothing is catching my eye. And many of the game that do interest me right now are on handhelds and/or are RPGs. Is Saints Row 2 ever going to get a price drop? Should I rent House of the Dead: Overkill? Leave comments in the comments sections with some ideas of more recent games (2008-2009) that you would like to see on the feed and I will make a poll.

Anyways, here is where I stand since my last laundry list.

Completed:

Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Parasite Eve
MadWorld
Resident Evil 5
Peggle XBLA
(Adventure mode)
Tomb Raider: Beneath the Ashes
Tomb Raider: Lara's Shadow

Working On:
Devil May Cry 3 (75%)
Henry Hatsworth (20%)
Parasite Eve 2 (15%?)
Crimson Skies (10%)
Red Dead Revolver (0%)

Post a comment with some game ideas,

Brad

You should get started on Red Dead Revolver. Especially in prep for the sequel.

A good game called legendary, is a FPS game where you control the man who opened the Pandora's box, releasing various creatures such as werewolves and griffins, and leave a strange mark on his right hand, which gives you powers like regeneration.
Its for PS3, Xbox 360 and Computer...

i have a few suggestions. not really 08-09, but i think they'd be fun to watch you play

Gun - along the same lines as red dead being a western. I had some fun with this

Just cause - one of those, its so bad its good games. doesnt take itself too seriously, plus i think it would be hilarious watching you play

earth defense force 2017 - another over the top bug, alien, robot arcady shooter

apologies if youve already played them, i dont recall seeing any on the feed

I really recommend you rent House of the Dead Overkill, Brad. I watched a little of it and it is really like playing through a campy B horror movie. It also has a good WTF factor, AND is in the Guinness World Book of Records for having the most swearwords in a game, which is over 135 F-words.

I think you guys would find it a fun mindless little romp. :)

i dont really know any games that you wouldnt already have played or that would particuly interest you so i cant really help you there but on the topic of renting house of the dead: overkill i would say no. you should watch the giantbomb quicklook of it, which basically sums up the game

I wouldnt mind seeing you play through Saints Row 2, I dont think it will drop too much in price in the next coming months anyway. Barring that the only other games I could see you trying is the Call of Duty:World at War to play the Coop and the Zombies Modes. Or take a risky endevour and play Viking Battle for Asgard

Well, I have 1 suggestion. The game called: Brothers in Arms Hell's Highway.

Its a pretty good game. Its for the PC, PS3 and xbox 360.
I really don't know if you played it. I dont think so. Apologies if you did.

Oh i forgot this.
Army of two is a good game too
I think its for the 360 and the PS3

I agree that you should rent House of the Dead OverKill because it's at least a one-time play (just like the other HotD prequels).

What I could suggest is Serious Sam for the XBOX, since it's a pretty fun game that does get wacky at times. I'll include Serious Sam II if you are interested.

Another would be Second Sight, also for the XBOX, since it's a pretty good game too.

Finally for fun, I'll probably say... Enter the Matrix for the PS2/XBOX.

Play some Fallout 3, Mercs 2 (good game), and some FEAR 2.

The Outfit (360)

Otogi: Myth of Demons is a good game to mess around with on the feed.

2 is good also.

I would recommend Freedom Fighters, an old squad base third person shooter for PS2. Great game.

Have you guys played Half-Life 2 on the podcast? I would like to see you play that.

GreyFoxVinzin said...

Freedom Fighters if you can find it (or most likely already have it in your collection) since it's a great PS2 3rd person shooter with some fun mechanics behind it.

You never finished persona 4, maybe you could give that a go?

Definately go for some HOuse of the Dead: Overkill. You will certainly get your kicks out of the 3-4 hours it takes to beat the game.
