Resident Evil 5 Review

Hey guys,

So recently I started writing reviews. I got recruited by HookedGamers.com to review and blog there in addition to doing my thing here. We've always wanted to do reviews here on 4PP but honestly there's only a couple of us and we aren't equipped to set up something on our blog until we get a webmaster.

So here's my review for Resident Evil 5 (PS3)

It's my first "official" review so my editor had to step in and help me with some of the wording.

Thanks,
David

I like how it's not a full-fledged 6-page review, and that it instead focuses on past vs. present game play, co-op management, and genre-traits/story; the things that I am most interested in before playing. I like lengthy reviews, but not for a 5th installment, so this was really nice.

Very well written and informative review, thanks! I've always wanted a 'reviews' section on the blog or wiki somewhere, but if you link it to us through here, that's just as good! Maybe you could add a section to the wiki to provide easy access to the links, also?

Wow David, this is great that you're branching out to things like this, keep improving!

Really good review. I enjoyed how like you kept branching back to Re4to show how they're like and not alike and broke up the review. Great job also of establishing you thoughts and opinions on the game.

Nice review, I agree with almost everything you said. I liked the way you kept comparing it to RE4 too.

Just curious but why do you need a webmaster to publish reviews on here?

For a first time official editorial review, not bad. I'm not going to lie, it has it's flaws. It seemed you focused too much on some parts and excluded on mentioning others. Having said that, it's still informative and objective. The way you lead into your points grammatically is spot on with what other top publications would do.

Hopefully with more time and practice though we can see multiple page reviews covering the game more as a whole. Still, for a brief one page review it's a good effort and an enjoyable read. Looking foward to reading more in the near future.
