This is Borderlands: You be the judge.
Nick and I both saw this game behind closed doors. I'm picking this up day one, and Nick thought the game looked pretty "meh". I've been frustrated because there has not been much footage released for this game lately, but that has changed. Watch these trailers and then read these facts:
1. 4 player online co-op.
2. Post apocalyptic open world environment.
3. Diablo style random loot system with rarity levels and unique items. A million guns w00t!
4. Unique monsters with fat loot drops.
5. Enemy/loot scaling when new players enter the world, Diablo 2 style.
6. Class based character set-up.
7. Skill tree ability/level up system.
8. Multi-person vehicles with Double Dash style driving/gunning swap while driving! WEEE!
I want to know what you think.

I saw an article about this two years ago in a Game Informer!! I thought it was dead..
It looks... and sounds... fucking amazing!! A diablo style FPS game? Count me in!!
I think it looks pretty damn cool
I have to admist, sounds pretty damn kool. The only problem I see is the carrying of growth between multi and single player campaign. That might cause some weird issues, but maybe they already sorted it out. Other wise, pretty fucking amazing game.
Multi and single player campaign is all the same. Like in Diablo.
Looks pretty badass. I'm probably gonna pick it up.
hmmm i dunno, I'm guessing the shooting will be more call of duty than fallout 3, which will be good.
but I'm really not too impressed by the prospect of 1 million guns, because surely they'll just end up really really similar...
But i'll definatly keep an eye on this one

ok,looks very interesting. and i looked forward, to play a fps diablo.
my only problem is, that the mulitplayer will be the heart of the game... and sadly i don't know anyone, who owns a ps3 in my ambiance...
Who wouldn't be excited for a Diablo-esque FPS? I think the art-style was the last big push (not that I wasn't already interested in the game) that made me think Borderlands is going to be fantastic. It makes the kills look so satisfying to pull off. Easily a day one purchase for me.
This kind of loot system is addictive as hell. I'm looking to pick it up. I'm assuming that difficulty levels increase loot drops as well, this game is going to eat up a lot of people's time.

I must admit, I didn't even know of this game until you guys mentioned it in your E3 podcast. I looked up some videos, and my god, this is the game I was waiting for. I really can't wait for this gem.
This looks amazing, which is a suprise for me, I haven't heard about this game since '07. The fact that it's going to have thousands of guns is amazing, but I'm mostly hyped up for the co-op.
Looks like another day one purchase for me.

Depending on which console 4pp will buy the game for, I'll buy that same console for multiplayer with Juan :D
I think this game looks amazing but I think it will also have the flaw D2 had where playing alone was meh but playing with friends made it all the better. The game has lots of potential, I just hope it lives up to the hype...maybe we will see brad get hooked?
Think I have to agree with Nick on this one.
It looks good. But you move so painfully slow in it, that I was getting frustrated, and I wasn't even playing.
That said. Everything else sounds interesting enough to me to give it a try. But I'm certainly not buying this day one, or even buying it at all. Will definitely rent it though.

the art style looks a lot like crackdown's and it also sounds quite similar when you listed some facts

Oh wow, thanks brad I have been meaning to check this out but never got the time to find a link but woww. Thats amazing, its gone on my list to buy definitely. This is actually the type of game I have been wanting to play for a long time. Amazing how they have AI building and modeling guns thats insane.
