One fighter is clearly better than the other. Round 3 is why Tekken 6 worries me.
Rage mode is the problem. When your oponnents health is down really low, they become especially strong. I'm sure this is designed to make matches more intense and "close", but this "rubber band" handicap system is shitty in a fighting game where a well timed juggle can already take 50% of someones life un-raged.
I hear they toned this system down a little in the expansion (which we are getting as our console version), but if they don't have the option to turn this shit off, I will be very very pissed.

See, I don't know what the fuck they're doing to Tekken. Not only does this have me worried, but they're also adding this "bound" bullshit where you can slam an opponent into the ground to bounce them back up and continue a juggle.
I mean, there's a lot of shit you can make an excuse for if you're a good fighter, like button mashers. You can do good against button mashers if you know what you're doing. This bound and rage garbage is just going to give weak players an advantage against motherfuckers that know the game. I really really hope they give you the choice to turn off BOTH of those.
(/rant)
I have to agree. Where's the fun if you beat every one of your opponents easily? I mean yes, I've been pummeled in certain games within 5,10,20 minutes and even though I got frustrated with those games, I realized that I had to do something to better my character so I wouldn't constantly die or lose. I have never played tekken but I have thought about getting this game.
Actually, I think I'll wait and see what other people have to say before I make this decision. If they don't give you a choice to turn off the handicap...well let's just say I'll go and buy the older ones and ignore this one.
I don't want to buy a game that makes me feel miserable and unchallenging.
At least "Bound" status has its limits. Juggles are more powerful this time around, but it is not as if you are doing infinite juggles. It will simply be harder for people who don't know about "bound" to get good damage off juggles.
They also toned down the "Bound" situations for T6BR as well i hear.
I've said this many times in chat, Tekken is my favorite fighting game series. I've talked to Rabbese an King about it too. KingofHearts (who has played Tekken 6) says that this is a huge issue and judging from that video it seems he has a point.
I think Tekken has enough defensive play in it as it is since juggles are such a threat, adding this would essentially force a player to huddle themselves in a corner as soon as they see that glowing red bar.
Now, I've also heard about the toning down for Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion but I think that the addition of rage is completely unnecessary due to the existing juggle-comeback nature of Tekken.
A feature allowing you to turn these off would be appreciated but I question the need for rage to exist at all.
heihachi laughs at your puny bounds and rage bars
It sounds like this might be an "exploit" for some players. Juggles are still frightening, but this "bound" feature doesn't seem to be a threat towards the opponent that is un-"bound-ed". I have no idea why they added such an absurd feature to counter back the intense juggling, but they might have made it worse.
I can easily see some people intentionally allowing themselves to get into that rage mode. . . Maybe they really don't know how to play but know one devastating combo or something. Perhaps they just like the comeback. Either way, I know a few people that would certainly do that.
Personally, I would rather control the fight than try to win only after having taken an extreme beating.
i say there is no need for the stupid rage when your life is low....
it would be better to have a kickass comeback when you have low life without the help of rage
but either way whatever stupidness they added to the game im going to enjoy tekken 6 alottttt like i enjoyed tekken 5
