I don't know what came over me. Not only do I not support what Namco does with downloadable content, but I scolded anyone who planned on doing so. The sad thing is, the content was way overpriced too.I'm so sorry. I just couldn't resist.
So the other day I spent 300 points each to get a costume and accessories pack for Rita and Estelle in Tales of Vesperia. Three outfits and three accessories each. Instead of the Estelle you see above, my Estelle can now wear a maids outfit with glasses. What the fuck have I become???
Honestly though, I don't feel so bad. I have played countless Tales games in the past, and though the quests to get outfits are very fun, they all come extremely late in the game. I checked my save data for Tales of Symphonia the other day and the clock was at 90 hours! I probably got most of the outfits over 60-70 hours into the game. I will still do these quests if they are available for me to do so; provided I even care about the game at that point.
My reasoning is this. I'd rather spend a little bit of money now and have a whole wardrobe for my Tales girls for the entire game than wait another 50 hours to get them. I played many many hours of Tales of the Abyss and never got but one costume. I put the game down eventually and never finished it. Maybe if I had more costumes from the start I would have finished the game.
Nevermind...
...I'm fucking pathetic.
I'm sorry for perpetuating everything that is wrong with Namco and their shitty DLC efforts.
: (
Brad
P.S. The only thing keeping me from buying the same set for Judith and wasting another 300 points....
...was the fact Namco hasn't released hers yet.

Jesus, for a costume? What is wrong with you? 300 points for a couple costumes is terrible and definitely is a waste, you won't even care 30 minutes later after you get it.
Wow, way to go brad. As shameful as it is, I can understand. I would have done the same thing...sadly.
I don't blame ya. Sometimes, I'll pay for the most ridiculous of things in gaming. Yet still, even when I buy them, I don't regret it, and neither should you, brad!
Good...
Fucking...
Lord...
Well, the only thing from keeping me from doing the same thing is the fact that I have no money so :p
For shame, Brad. For shame. :(
Though I haven't done this myself (LiVE won't accept debit cards) I can totally understand. TR:Legend kept me going for more than twice its' typical length because of unlockable outfits. Most people don't understand it, but for some of us bonus aesthetics make the game a lot more enjoyable. Clear your mind of shame, Simons!
Although, buying it after scolding everyone else is pretty low. :P
Brad Brad Brad. Dear Brad. After all that boycotting you decided to buy them anyway. Tsk Tsk.
Well, who am I to judge. I seem to purchase rediculous shit from time to time. I bought every DLC track for Motorstorm as soon as they were released, and no matter how hard I tried there were only a few match that ever had those tracks. I thought I'd learn my lesson after the 2nd by but oh no, I just had to fucking purchase the others. -_-
Boycott startiinnngg...... NOW!
Don't feel bad Brad. You're a huge Tales fan like myself too. I recently bought Yuri's title package because I wanted the "True Knight" outfit. In order to get that outfit, I would have to do every single secret missions which I totally skipped most of them already. Now if you bought the package to get free level ups, then I won't forgive you lawl~
Brad, you shouldn't feel bad about it at all. There are worst game to waste money on like WoW or one I played Maple story. In that game you can buy stuff to customize your look. YOu need at least 40$ to make a good outfit that gonna only last 3 month. While yours will last as much as you want to play the game. You made a smart choice above thousand of other.
Anime Girls and Cute Outfits, Yes Brad, turn to the Darkside....
