Don't forget guys, we will be recording our first "Game Club" or "4PP Revival" Podcast at the end of January. For our first episode, we will be discussing the merit of "Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath" for the original Xbox. If you would like to take part in the discussion, I encourage everyone to go out and pick up the game and play it (keeping in mind that the game is not backwards compatible). I will be accepting emails and forum responses regarding any thoughts about the game to be read on the show. The show will be in the last few days of January so there is still some time to pick it up and play.
On that note, we are currently brainstorming which games we would like to play through for future episodes of our "Revival" podcast. We need your help. Which games would you like us to take into consideration? There are a few guidelines though. The games we play need to be:
- Relatively accessible
- Can be on any console, but PS1 and later are more likely to be picked.
- The game needs to have some merit. We wont be playing Spongebob Squarepants... We want to consider games that are good and sometimes, under appreciated.
- Needs to be more than a year old
With that said, give us some ideas! Let us know what you want to hear. If you have any questions or thoughts regarding this new podcast or "Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath", send them to: Nickhenderson@4playerpodcast.com.
Or, check out the forum thread at: Official "Oddworld: Strangers Wrath" Thread
Thanks,
Nick

I would recommend the Spyro Series. And i don't mean number 1, since that one sucked ass. number two and three, and i'll go as far as hero''s tale. these are all on the PS consoles.
if you'd rather not that, than maybe some Rayman games, since those are pretty old. i'm sure a few were on the PS1, but my favorite was on the 64.
I'm gonna go ahead and be the loser that recommends Final Fantasy 7! :)
I'd recommend something like Psychonauts for the Original Xbox if you all haven't played it yet. One of my favorite platformers of the the last generation and one of the funniest games I've played.
I would like to recommend Front Mission 4. It is an excellent turnbased RPG with a deep story involving westerns style mecha akin to the mechwarrior series. I consider it one of my favorite games of all time.
i would be playing oddworld, but it's not backwards compatible. :[
i think future games should be backwards compatible with current-gen systems, or downloadable (xbl, psn, steam, whateva).
Heh 3 games I'd like to recommend, Phantom Crash, Phantom Dust, and Dark Cloud Each great games that shouldn't be hard to find for dirt cheap.
Just getting my strangers wraith by the end of the week after finally getting a good price on ebay so hopefully I can play enough before the podcast
For future games, try Deathrow on the Xbox. It's an insane futuristic sports game involving anti-gravity frisbees, killer robots (and mutants), ridiculously over-the-top insults and swearing (there's a middle-finger button), and of course, extreme violence. It's pretty much fucking awesome. For bonus kickassness, use the custom soundtracks option to replace the crappy default techno with surf rock.
Also try Gunvalkyrie on the Xbox, it's a challenging shooter/platformer with awesome jetpack gameplay. It's also one of the last great Sega games.
Nick,
I was talking with a few regulars and one game we all loved but haven't seen in a long time was "Medievil". You know, with Dan Fortasque. One eye, wants to regain his "legendary" status. Its currently available on PSN for $5. I Will buy a PSN copy for every member of 4pp if I need to to get you to play this game. (I'm serious)
Games I would recommend would be: Kotor 1 or 2, Fire Emblem, Psychonauts, Bully, Sly Cooper, Spyro 2 and 3, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Jade Empire, and Destroy all Humans. (JTV name: Seisan)
Play . Valkyrie. Profile. Not many gamers knows it , and it's for me the greatest RPG ever made: everything is just perfect. OST is great thanks to sakuraba. The fighting system is original and great. The story and the background are amazing, tons of playable character with each one having his own story, past , present and future.
big rigs:over the road racing! or maybe genma onimusha
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile for the PS1 :D
Any of the armored core games.
If that's not possible Psychonauts it's a great game. It's also free on PC on gametap.
I agree with lukeamania, Psychonauts was a great, under rated game. It would make a great selection for a future Revival Podcast.
Kotor 1 on Xbox, or Breath of Fire IV (PSone?) spring to mind for me. Not exactly underrated (especially Kotor) but worth a replay.
KoTor, Psychonauts, and Jade Empire would be good picks.
I'm excited for this podcast, although I haven't seen anyone playing it for quite some time now. Oh and you can expect an e-mail from me with a nice list of games Nick.
Brad got through it, Nick has probably been playing it at his place, Travis got through a good part of it.
That leaves Mr. Liao
Get to work David. >:|
Red Faction for the PS2 or PC. Great FPS.
How about the original Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction for the Xbox or PS2?
Keep em coming guys. We have recieved a lot of great ideas. I have also recieved a bunch of emails with ideas and Oddworld comments. Please keep em coming. We have a lot planned for this podcast and we need YOUR help getting it off the ground.
We also have something very special planned for the first episode that I think Brad will be posting about later today. For now, please keep the emails and ideas coming. And to those who already sent me emails, I plan on responding to all of them tonight!
Thanks,
Nick
I wouldnt mind seeing you all play Croc for the Playstation, I dunno how easily it can be obtained now though. Maybe some Resident Evil Dead Aim for the PS2, only thing is with that you need a Guncon Controller
i recently got banned from you brodcast room and i can't find out why? i was not alerted or anything i was just randomly banned why?
