Well this is my first blog and I thought I was going to jump right into in, but I thought it would only be right for me to say a little about myself first. So how did I meet the 4playerpodcast you may ask? Well, I’ve known David for a couple years now, before there was 4pp. We both worked at game stores but separate locations; I didn’t really like him much at first but he kind of grows on you. I quit working there and went to work at a comic shop, which he totally ragged on me for leaving. Sometimes in life you just have to not be afraid to move on and try new things. Mike and I stopped by the store one day to get a game and he started talking about the site and all. So those of you who watch the site regularly might have seen me play a few games and join in on a few broadcasts. I got to meet Brad, Travis, and Nick. Some are surprisingly more quiet and shy than you would think from watching the show; in all they are all really great and fun guys to be around.
I’ve actually been playing video games since elementary school. My first system was the original Nintendo, I got it the Christmas the Super Nintendo came out. I remember going to the store and it being sold out, as the impatient person that I am, I couldn’t wait so I got the NES instead; Duck Hunt is awesome. The first game I ever got aside from the included game, my dad surprised me with. I unwrapped in and… Mario Kart. Mario Kart is awesome, but I didn’t have a SNES, way to rub it in dad. So we went back to the store and I traded it in for Barbie. That game was friggin hard for a little kid, seriously. My sisters and I would play TMNT the Arcade game, good times. I eventually did get the SNES, it never turned yellow, and Mario Kart, GB,N64, GBA, Gamecube, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii, and finally sucked it up and allowed PS3 in my home, Little Big Planet, aww.
I’m currently playing Persona 4, this game is seriously long. I think I’m 25 hours in; I’ve slowed down a bit. The story’s still good I do like it a lot, but why couldn’t they up the graphics and just make if for the PS3. I’m not saying the graphics aren’t good for PS2 graphics, they’re actually great, but it really would have been a lot better. I guess Sony is holding on to the PS2 for as long as they can. They made the new slim and I saw they came out with a white not too long ago, it is a little tempting. Does anyone own a slim, or was thinking about getting one? What was your first system?
Thanks
Sandra

Oh cool, Sandra made a post :O
David does seem like the kind of guy that grows on you, haha. And as for the Persona comment, jesus, I was hoping to finish it in my first few days of owning it. I failed....
Cool seeing you on the blog.
Glad you're getting more involved Sandra.
My first system was SNES, man I remember playing Mario, killer instinct, and Donkey Kong. Well those are the ones I mostly remember.
I remember playing Killer instinct for hours and hours with my friend.
Good memories.
My first was the Atari 2600. I'm not sure when I started playing but I was very young. Asteroids, Space Invaders, and Pac-Man all day.
my first system was in fact the original x-box. my first game was ssx tricky. me and my sisters would play fo hours
My first system was the Game Boy Color, if that counts.
My first system was the PS1 which I got when I was around ten years old. The games I got with it were: Spyro 1, Gran Turismo, Croc, and Crash Bandicoot. Oh, the god times...
Good times, that is. Oh, and to avoid any confusion, my JTV name is: Seisan.
My first system was the NES. Good times with Kirby’s Adventure, Punch-Out, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, Duck Hunt, and Jaws.
My first was the original Gameboy then the rest of them. I own every Sony system except for the PSP and none of the Xbox systems.
Good times
My first system was an Old Mac, black and white Risk ftw?
My first video game system was NES, I was a huge fan of Mega Man 2. Started gaming around age 4. (Couldn't read yet, played off of memory)

I think it is kinda sad that you missed the whole Playstation era. So many good games came out for PS1 and PS2, and really back in the day, the xbox was a second system to own. I could see myself being without the first xbox and maybe even N64 (though the N64 would be harder to part with) but definitely couldn't see myself not playing PS1 and PS2.
If you have time, go back and relive the past. Some of the best games ever made came out for those systems, I'm sure the other members of 4PP could recommend some great ones. So yeah, the PS2 slim is definitely worth getting.
I haven't been playing persona 4, I just got my ps3 and have been playing metal gear solid 4. I really should start playing persona 4 again. And my first system was the n64.
Glad to see you post Sandra and looking forward to your future posts.
My first console was NES. I don't remember much about when I got it, but the games I remember playing the most are Mario, Duck Hunt and that World Class Track Meet game (where you needed the power pad lol). God the nostalgia! SNES was by far my favorite console as a kid though.
I'm a big Shin Megami Tensei fan. Love P4 and working on the second cycle now. Looking forward to your thoughts on it after completing it.
I own a slim. I bought a ps2 when it first came out.. the thick clunky one. I had it for 8 years I think before it finally stopped working. At the time, PS3 had so few titles and cost so much that I figured it would be way out of my league to get a backward compatible ps3 just so I could play GH2 again. I bought a slimline for about 99 dollars and I <3 it still. Still going to get that PS3 backward-compatible eventually, though.
Congrats on joning to the blog Sandra, my first game system was the nintendo 64, even though my bro bought it back then, I hogged that thing... :D
