Well, the fall season is really kicking into over drive. This week, I have picked up 2 games for the Playstation 3:
Dead Space:
Afrika:
I know I know, they are two very different titles from both ends of the gaming spectrum. I have high hopes though. I will be begin playing through Dead Space tonight so I can talk about it on this weeks podcast so expect my early impressions then. As for Afrika... the game is in Japanese so I have no idea how I am going to effectively play it... so expect me to play it a little during the extra life marathon on Saturday! Also, I was very surprised to see that Dead Space, much like Silent Hill Homecoming, did not require a mandatory install! Intriguing. Anyways, stay tuned because this week will be interesting.

P.S.- Thanks David for picking up Afirka in Japan!

I lol'd at Afrika. Is it like a simulator? How do you play?
Think... Pokemon Snap... with Lions
..cough..
and a lot prettier
Two very different games, but both arguably very good ones.
Afrika looks to me more of a relaxing interactive experience in the same vein as games like flOw. So I'm not banking on anything too amazing (From gameplay videos I've seen, the enviroments do kinda look like ass at times), but the animal wildlife looks astonishing.
And Dead Space, well, whats there to say. I've been pumped for it ever since I saw the GTtv special that cam eout ages ago. There's so much about it that I can't wait to try. Damn European/UK release dates. >.< well, I look foward to watching it live on Saturday. Lets just hope justin.tv doesn't fuck up at all on that day.
As always, hope you enjoy the games Nick.
Oh and P.S.
That is one hell of a kick ass Joker poster.
goddammit why is dead space out on the 24th in the UK same day as FarCry 2 and 6 days from fallout 3 goddamit, WHEN AM I GONNA HAVE TIME TO PLAY THESE GAMES!!
sweeeet dead space, wanna get the game like right now! and since i dont have a ps3 I don't know much about afrika, but I have heard you have a huuuuuge area to play in. and I really like how the joker poster is in between the 2 sexy model ones lol
afrika is a game where your a photographer and you take pictures of wildlife. doesnt sound that interesting but im sure nick will find some ways to mess with the animals.
and dead space sweet!
and those posters....sweet!
Personally, I feel more exited about you guys playing "Afrika" than playing Dead Space 'cause it seems more different than other games.
