New Mirror's Edge trailer and dev walkthrough
Looks fantastic. Is this the 3d N+ I've been waiting for? Maybe. My only worries now are getting motion sickness and some iffy AI I saw in the video.
By the way, if you are worried about all the red object signifying where to go, they said you have the option of turning that off.

The AI seems pretty stupid and their models don't look too god around the face area, but the rest is AMAZING! The art style, if you will, is just incredible.
What worries me though, is will the game be straight forward in the sense that you have the option to take 1 or 2 paths while staying on rooftops or will I be able to do as I wish, while staying on track of my objective, but go in some building that aren't part of the "plot/story".
I know the developers wish to give the player the freedom to make some choices but they still are stiving for a relatively linear game. Don't expect an open world game. The game still looks amazing however and is definitely one of my most anticiapted games of this holiday season. This looks like the Bourne Game that should have been...
The linear gameplay may not be such a bad idea, since the overall goal of the game is for you (the runner) to get from point A to point B in quickly and swiftly as possible. I'm sure the levels will be more varied in later parts of the game, but overall I'm liking how this game is coming out (aside from a few AI bugs)
I'm definitely not expecting an open world game, but when you make a game about freerunning/parkour, one would usually think "freedom". Granted, you can't really have freedom when you're running from police and other such things, but still. I saw the same obstacles like 5 times and it saddened me. :(
Oh well, I'm really looking forward to it cause just like yourself, this is one of my most highly anticipated games this year.
I'm just hoping EA doesn't screw this up like they have other games. :/(I know, EA is just publishing it, but they have fucked DICE over before.)
