New eSurance commercial!!!
Ok not really.
Heavenly Sword, Dead Space, and now Mirror's Edge? Why is this animated movie shit becoming so popular in building hype and telling the story of a game? Just show us the gameplay.
I really really hope the controls deep but easy to use like the guy says in that interview. I think Mirror's Edge lives or dies by its controls. I'm worried how the movement works in smaller indoor environments. The interviewee mentions multiple times that "getting to" the enemy trying to shoot at you is a large part of the combat. I just hope your character has several environmental options when encountered with these situations.
I also worry about how smooth the camera moves in the game. For some reason I see a more sluggish camera being used in a game heavily reliant on character interaction with the environment. If they allow too much rapid control over the camera with a character moving this fast, we will all be vomiting before the credits roll. They really need to think outside the box to get the camera right in this game. I get nauseous just thinking about Breakdown nowadays.

I'm really loving how the game is shaping up, plus we know one achievement already. xD
eSurance joke was on Joystiq? Show me where? But it's nice that I'm not the only one who sees this.
Point me to where we see WYSC on Joystiq as well. Do we just have the same title? Becuase I wasn't too fond of it anyways, sounded kinda generic.
Someone pls inform 1up as well. Their new podcast was doing a "Top 5" weekly list.
We patented that long ago. I want that place shut down.
So i googled the phrase "Why You Should Care" and found dozens of places that use this. This will be a long legal process to determine who actually came up with this very unique way of saying "I think this game looks cool."
In other news, we will be changing our WSYC "segment" to "I think this game looks cool."
I'm worried though. I'm about to post how I feel about a game I'm playing and was going to title the "segment" "First Impressions" but now I'm worried I may lack originality.
PS These joke were originally brought to you by CNET and Gamespot.
So did some research.
I google "esurance and Mirror's Edge" and it seems: joystiq, kotaku, gametrailers, gamespot, wired, movie tome, and a place called wikio all saw the same thing I saw. And this was just on the first page. So instead of assuming we stole anything... well... maybe you should start watching some TV? Because making this comparison isn't a stretch...
