So it's about 3:00 am on the 18Th and we just returned from seeing the Dark knight. I'm sure we will talk about all of our impressions on the podcast this week but I wanted to get some of my thoughts out there while the movie is still fresh on my mind. I'll start by saying that this is a beautifully crafted film that both builds on what made its predecessor a success and then goes on to surpass it. While I do feel the movie stumbled in a few places, the film never felt like it was dragging on. I won't spoil anything but this movie does what so many other super hero movies such as Spider-man 3 and Daredevil have failed at in regards to the way it handles its villains. Every performance was spot on and the movie has so many twists and turns that I would say it is impossible to go into this movie knowing whats going to happen. In regards to Heath Ledger's performance, I must give the man props. He took this role and ran with it. He gave the joker a personality and a presence that is both comical and disturbing. His performance made this movie much darker in tone and set the groundwork for a much more mature Batman than anything we have seen in the past. At times, this movie scared me.
Ill end by saying that this is the first movie in a long time that has really kept me on the edge of my seat and left me in a daze by the time it came to an end. I can't wait to see it again tomorrow in Imax...-Nick

Boy you are a fan boy. lol.
I saw it last night and I loved it, I'm thinking of getting a group of friends and trying to go see it again tonight.
I really want to see it. I have high hopes for this movie.
I saw it at midnight as well and I have to say it was an awesome movie. I really can't wait to see it again. Heath Ledger's portrayal of Joker was the best and that makes me even more sad that he is gone. This role really was the role of his life.
um... That may well have been the best movie I've ever seen. I will be going again.
Wow, simply WOW!

its even better the second go round...
That was the best movie I remember seeing in a long time and possible ever. It's also the first time I actually saw a movie that I actually liked while in a movie theater.
Damn, I am so so so hyped to see The Dark Knight this friday when I get back in the UK. I've tried avoiding as much internet searching as possible to avoid spoilers, but everytime the urge gives in I see another 5/5 star review. Glad to see you enjoyed it Nick (And thanks for no spoilers).
I definitely know I won't be dissapointed like I was with other spuer hero films lately. I have faith in the team, from Nolan to Zimmer to Heath (RIP). Look foward to getting back and seeing you guys soon.
P.S. Fuck it's hot here in Cyprus. lol
