Last night I clumsily finished through the end of the second Zelda game on the Nintendo 64. After a few hours and a few frustrated viewers, I, of course, made my inevitable triumph over the game and the credits rolled. There were a few who asked if I'd be going back to retrieve all the masks.

After thinking about this for 5 minutes, I can safely say NO!! While I am a bit intrigued by the story of sidequests, the amount of time management in game involved with the process of mask collecting is not worth the time it would take to go back and get all of the masks. In addition, in reality the actual process would consist of people in chat telling me where to go and how to get the masks instead of me going out and searching for them by listening to clues. So instead of actual gameplay it'd kinda be a game of fetch while following directions. Sorry guys, I'm not really into that.
Also since I was able to beat the game last night without the use of the Fierce Deity, I really can't see any reason to go back to "complete" the game. I am, however, considering fighting Majora's Mask again once more. There's something that I promised to do but wasn't able to uphold last night. So here's to putting a smile on their face.

I don't have the drive or the persistence to get all the masks. I think my head would explode and then I would give up, in that order. I think you did a better job than others. You beat Majora without the Fierce Deity's mask and that is something nice, I would say.
Beating Majora without the final mask was truly a sight to be seen David.

having not played many zelda games before, it was really fun watching you play through this. hope you can do some others in the future
Yeah David it was awesome. Corvus as Skull Kid at the end had me laughing forever.
Well I'm saddened to hear you aren't taking the game up again. Though there will always be more games for you to play. Oh and remember, I will always be there to berate your gaming abilities. :)
It's a shame you'r not getting all the masks, some of them have a good story, however you could get the upgrade for your sword, then you'll pwnd Majora's with more pleasure.
