E3: God of War III Teaser Trailer

Ok so its pre-rendered. It shows NO gameplay. But it still amounts to a hell of a lot more excitement than everything at Nintendo's Press Conference combined! Check it out.

Our E3 Announcement

How was this years E3 for you? Did you get what you wished for? I certainly didn't. Of course E3 is not completely over, but for the major portion of announcements it has all but been wrapped up.

So we would like to officially announce our project for this year. We've been hinting at it on shows for a while and the teaser has been available to watch for quite some time. But here it is for everyone who didn't know. Our working title.....Project M

E3: New Prince of Persia Trailer

This game is simply a work of art. This game gives me the same feelings I got when Wind Waker and Okami were first revealed and both of those games were excellent.

E3's New Resident Evil 5 Trailer

Resident Evil 5 is still my most anticipated game of 2009. Every trailer has revealed new tidbits of information and amazing new gameplay footage. This new trailer has really caused my excitement to peak. The trailer begins with a somewhat different feel than previous trailers and reveals a few new locations and a few new enemies as well... including the Giant Alligator! Thats right folks, the Giant Alligator of Resident Evil 2 infamy has returned! Mwa ha ha ha... I would also like to mention the zombies on motorcycles... that is definitely a new one for the series. Anyways, check out the trailer, it still looks amazing!!!

... What a day. Can't wait for tomorrow.

E3 2008 Day 1 - Brad's #1 moment so far.

This was rumored already, but I needed the confirmation. I've been excited but somewhat down on Resident Evil 5 ever since I saw the first real gameplay footage. The game looked way way too similar to RE4. While this is still true, the announcement of online co-op changes everything. Resident Evil 4 is one of my favorite games ever. But playing a prettier version of that game with a friend? Too awesome for words. Except I wrote some anyway.

Valve and Capcom agree. Co-op zombie killing is just about the greatest video game idea ever.

Do Want - New Fallout 3 Trailer

My god. Just take everything wrong with Oblivion and add in everything right and you get this.

New Mirror's Edge trailer and dev walkthrough

Looks fantastic. Is this the 3d N+ I've been waiting for? Maybe. My only worries now are getting motion sickness and some iffy AI I saw in the video.

By the way, if you are worried about all the red object signifying where to go, they said you have the option of turning that off.

The State of FFXIII

So the big news of Day 1 at E3 involves the announcement of Final Fantasy XIII going multi-platform. If you read my post, i'm sure you know that I am not happy about this. This is simply because this gives people less of an incentive to purchase the different platforms so why should multiple platforms exist at all? I am still very excited for the game and I am very happy to know that a much wider audience will be able to experience the game but seriously... how can Sony respond to this?

The playstation 3 is a great piece of hardware with wonderful capabilities, infinite potential, and what is in my opinion the superior technology (blu-ray). When FFXIII ships next year for the Xbox 360, I am predicting it will be Lost Odyssey all over again with 4 discs in one box. On the PS3 however, I predict the game will fit on 1 disc, 2 at the most. In a live Q & A with posted on Kotaku earlier today with Producer, Yoshinori Kitase and Square Enix representative, Shinji Hashimoto, it was stated that both versions of the game are planned to be identical with production on the Xbox 360 version to start once they finish development in Japan (PS3). Apparently the game will only be released on the PS3 in Japan because of the smaller install base of the Xbox 360 there. (hmm maybe I should move to Japan)
Curiously enough, it seems that FF Versus XIII is still a PS3 exclusive! I hope that this remains this way and I pray to god that Sony responds with some amazing news at tomorrows press conference.
