Cover Art Comparison - Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2

Here is the North American cover for the game. The art is traditional and pretty great, but I have to be honest, it doesn't quite fit the tone of the game. This looks more like a good cover for Final Fantasy 12, and although this game has judges and is set in the same world, FFTA2 is much much lighter in tone. I mean while Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1 started with kidnapping, murder, and betrayal, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance started with a snowball fight. Some people might be upset if they see this cover and are expecting a serious story.

This is the Japanese and European cover for the game. I really think this is one of the best covers for a Final Fantasy game in awhile, especially on handhelds. It fits the tone a bit better, and and still manages to show off the great character artwork the series has always had. I also like the white background, a staple for old Squaresoft cover art.

4player Podcast in Spore??

4playerpodcast viewer and forum member, "davethezombie," made the awesome 4pp monster you see above. Until I saw this I really had no idea how open the customization of monsters in spore was. This peeked my interest some and I am now re-interested in Spore now.

Here is a trailer for the monster creation:

Welcome Back Nick!!!

On tonights show, illustrious Nicholas Scott Henderson will make his return to the 4Player Podcast. To celebrate his return from the magical land of China, we've taken one of those photos that was taken from the conference he was attending and added music. See if you can actually find him in the crowd of thousands of Chinese people! Full Screen helps. And also, don't forgot to tune in tonight for the show.

New Project Origin (FEAR 2) Video Preview

So here is a bunch of new footage and information on the "official" sequel to F.E.A.R. for PC, 360, and PS3. I enjoyed the first game quite a bit for the intelligent and adaptive AI and the kinetic gun-play, and this game seems to be delivering it in spades. But also noteworthy is the huge graphical upgrades both artistically and technically; as well as the seemingly improved story and setting.

(Give the video time to load, it is high quality)

My only worries as of now are:

1) Introduction of new "monstrous" enemies might ruin the great AI driven enemy combat. This has happened before with this series. And...

2) I have never played a Monolith game that didn't fall apart at the end. Both in terms of story and game-play.

But, as of now, this game is a 'day 1' purchase for me.

New Section: WebComic

Finally, after a few months of idea bouncing, we're proud to announce our first attempt into the world of webcomics. My friend, Mike Azzato, who made the Bearrel Roll Shirt Logo and helped produce the Season One Opening, can now be officially introduced as part of the 4playerPodcast "staff." On top of being a very talented artist, he's a funny, sociable guy and has contributed greatly to many of our projects. I am glad to finally be able to have the chance to push his name out there into the credits. We're all excited to be able to present you with what we wish to make into a great comic. So in honor of the release of MGS4 and to all those without a PS3, here is the first entry titled....

Bulgogi & Meatball - Toasted

Thanks to Sandra, Mike, and Brad for helping make this possible.
